With So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Should I Choose?

Ask questions before you join any program. Do a little
research into the affiliate
program(s)
that you intend to
join into. Get answers because they will determine
what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs
being offered today are free of charge. So why settle
for those that charge you to join.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every
program is different. Some issue their checks monthly,
quarterly, etc. Select the one that is best for you.
Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum
earned commission amount that must be met or
exceeded in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average
number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to
generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This
factor is very important because it will tell you how
much traffic you need to earn a commission from the
sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked
and for how long do they remain in the progams
system? You need to be confident the program
will track and remember for some time those people
you refer from your site. This is the only way that
you can get credited for a sale. The period of time
that those people stay in the system is also important.
This is because some visitors do not buy initially but
may return later to make the purchase. Know if you
will still get credit for the sale if it is done long after
the first visit... Read Complete Post

Website Promotion and Succeeding Online

Search engines are the first place that potential visitors
use to find your web site. This is why building your URL
link popularity is so important as the first step at website
promotion. If potential visitors do not find your website,
you have no way of succeeding online.

Link popularity refers to the ranking assigned to your
website by the search engines, and it determines the ranking
your page gets when search phrases (keywords) are entered
into a search engine. So, you're probably wondering, how do
I make my link popular?

Search engines give status and ranking to sites that have
links to their pages from other sites. Google created the
system, and now virtually all the most popular search
engines employ it to rank your web pages in their indexes.

The more competitive your search phrases (keywords) are, the
harder it will be to achieve link popularity. Without
achieving it however, your site will never rank highly on
the search engines. This alone can greatly diminish your
website promotion results and chances of succeeding online.
Don't be discouraged however, there are ways of achieving
link popularity using the most competitive search phrases
(keywords).

One way to achieve link popularity and thereby effective
website promotion is to become a member of a link networking
system. Such systems typically build a network and
distribute member links out through it a set number of
levels. One example of such a system is "Links Explode" and
it will greatly enhance your chances of succeeding online.
